Female/53/Houston
- About 6 years after my compression fracture at L1, I had the 1st of 5 total back surgeries. With the exception of the 1st surgery (laminectomy at T12-L1), each subsequent surgery only make me worse. The most fatal surgery (5th) was a 360 degree fusion consisting of: posterior laminectomies & inner body fusions from T10-S1, plus vertebral fusions extending down the same levels ; anterior removal of all disk material & inner body fusions from L2-S1, along with bone harvesting from both sides of my pelvis, and both sides of my rear hips; As a result of how I healed from the 360 degree fusion (surgeon admitted that he did not allow enough curvature in my lower back), I developed scoliosis & kyphosis;
